Work yesterday was really wonderful. I am so grateful for my job. It would be easy to stay there forever. We did fondue. The girls wore their aprons and were so excited. Then we went shopping, because we wanted a Rachael Ray cookbook and sharper knives.
Then I went to Minneapolis and picked up Rayne and Jana. We went to see Little Miss Sunshine at the Uptown Theater. We sat in the balcony. I don't think I've ever sat on the bottom level. Anyway, of course I get my first page 5 minutes into the movie, but it was an easy one and I didn't miss much. It was one of those movies that makes you laugh and cry. It was funny because they only used different versions of How It Ends by Devotchka, which I've been listening to a lot lately. Anyway, I loved the movie and I think every little girl should watch it.

Then Rayne and I went to Little T's. The queso was yum-o. Some of those kids there are complete fools. Seriously. I was embarrassed for them, with their stupid hair and their stupid clothes and their stupid piercings. It made me feel old, but glad to be old. Our waitress (she looked stupid too) gave us a giant pile of tootsie rolls and we ate all of them.
When I got home, I started doing a little research on this dog thing. I talked to my mom and she said that she's the one who started the whole dachshund thing in our family, and now she is done with it. The older dachshunds were well-behaved, but the last 4 anyone in our family has gotten have been very naughty. I think it's because they were over-bred in general.
Anyway, I started looking into other breeds. I want a small dog with short hair. My only other options then are chihuahuas and miniature pincers. I think a chihuahua would be a better fit. Then I started looking at pet rescue places, and there's one in Wisconsin with lots of chihuahuas. Most of them are from breeders and have lived in cages their whole lives. That broke my heart, so I am going to pick up Cesar's book and look into adopting a chihuahua from that rescue place.
I had crazy dreams last night. I was glad when I woke up to my life. Rayne is going to pick me up soon and we're off to Rochester. I'm going to the Lutheran church with her and her grandparents tomorrow.
I feel really good lately, and I'm not even tired from staying up on the phone all night on Thursday/Friday.
